SMaRC Doctoral Students Successfully Defended Their PhD Theses

Swedish Maritime Robotics Centre is proud to announce a significant achievement, with two more doctoral candidates successfully defending their PhD theses in the field of maritime robotics and technology.
Viktor Lidström explored the complexities of underwater communication in his thesis, “On the Design of Noncoherent Acoustic Underwater Communication.” Elias Strandell Erstorp delved deeper into underwater networks, presenting his theses, “Introducing Power Control and Link Adaptation in Flooding-based Underwater Networks: Extending the Applicability of Flooding-Based Routing Protocols.”

We extend our gratitude for their contributions to the expanding knowledge base in maritime robotics.
These accomplishments foreshadow exciting developments in the field.

Curious about Viktor and Elias’s future plans? Stay tuned for more updates!
