Did you know that the deep sea is the last unexplored frontier on Earth? There are giant swaths of seabed which humans have never laid eyes upon. It is simply too complex and dangerous to get down there. AUVs can change this. They can build maps of previously unknown areas by bringing cameras or sonar sensors deep down into the sea.
